Dieban Jinrui

Dieban Jinrui (C. azalea × C.japonica 'Bob Hope'). Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrations of theNew Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and TechnologyPublishing House, p.84. HA-35-4., a cross seedling (DHB-No.2) of C.azalea × C. japonica 'Bob Hope'. Flowersred to dark red, occasionally with white markings on central petals,semi-double to peony form, small size, 6.5-7.5cm across and 4.0cm deep with 18petals arranged in 2-3 rows, petals broad obovate, 5-8 central petals wavy,stamens clustered. Leaves dark green, leathery, elliptic, margins shallowlyserrate. Plant upright, branches dense and growth vigorous. Starts to bloomfrom late-summer, fully blooms from autumn to winter and sporadically inspring. The cultivar name means “OverlappedPetals with Golden Stamens”.

叠瓣金蕊 Camellia ‘Dieban Jinrui’ 。刘信凯、钟乃盛、柯欢、武艳芳主编，2023，《第二部四季茶花杂交新品种彩色图集》，浙江科学技术出版社，第84页。 HA-35-4.杂交组合：杜鹃红山茶× 红山茶品种‘霍伯’，杂交苗编号：DHB-No.2。花朵红色至黑红色，中部花瓣偶有白斑，半重瓣型至牡丹型，小型花，花径6.5-7.5cm，花朵厚4.0cm,大花瓣18枚，呈2-3轮排列，阔倒卵形，中部花瓣5-8枚，波浪状，雄蕊簇生。叶片浓绿色，叶背面灰绿色，革质，椭圆形，长9.5-10.0cm,宽4.0-5.0cm，边缘具浅齿。植株立性，枝叶稠密，生长旺盛。夏末始花，秋、冬季盛花，春季零星开花。
