Duozi Liying

Duozi Liying (C. azalea × C. azalea F1 new hybrid 'Xiafeng Relang'). Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrations of the New Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and Technology Publishing House, p.251. HAR-02-26., a cross seedling (DXFRL-No.65) of C. azalea × C. azalea F1 new hybrid 'Xiafeng Relang'. Flowers light peach red slightly with orange hue when just opening and gradually change into pink, central petals with faint white stripes, loose peony form, medium size, 8.5-10.0cm across and 5.5cm deep with 15-18 exterior large petals arranged loosely in 3 rows, petals obovate, central small petals semi-erected and mixed with the clustered stamens. Leaves dark green, heavy leathery, elliptic, cuneate at the base, margins shallowly and obtusely serrate. Plant upright and growth vigorous. Starts to bloom from early-summer, fully blooms from autumn to winter and sporadically in spring. The cultivar name means “Multi-Poses & Pretty Shadow”.

多姿丽影 Camellia ‘Duozi Liying’ 。刘信凯、钟乃盛、柯欢、武艳芳主编，2023，《第二部四季茶花杂交新品种彩色图集》，浙江科学技术出版社，第251页。 HAR-02-26.杂交组合：杜鹃红山茶×杜鹃红山茶F1代新品种‘夏日热浪’，杂交苗编号：DXFRL-No.65。花朵刚开放时，呈淡桃红色，略泛橘红色调，渐渐变为粉红色，中部花瓣具隐约的白条纹，松散的牡丹型，中型花，花径8.5-10.0cm，花朵厚5.5cm,外部大花瓣15-18枚，呈3轮松散排列，花瓣倒卵形，中部小花瓣半直立，与簇生雄蕊混生。叶片浓绿色，叶背面灰绿色，厚革质,椭圆形，长9.5-10.0cm,宽3.8-4.0cm，基部楔形，边缘锯齿浅而钝。植株立性，生长旺盛。夏初始花，秋、冬季盛花，春季零星开花。
