Emil's Jane (C. japonica) ACS, Reg. No.2421. American Camellia Yearbook, 1997,p3. A miniature, rose red, anemone form, C. japonica chanceseedling, early to mid-season. Originated by Dr. Emil Carroll, Albuquerque, NMand propagated by Roscoe Dean, Lucedale, MS. The 9–10-year-old seedling firstbloomed in 1990. Average size flower untreated is 2" wide and 1" deepwith 25-30 petals. Average size flower treated 2 112" wide and 1"deep. Plant growth is upright, dense, and vigorous with dark green leavesmeasuring 3" long and 1 112" wide.
