Emil's Jane (C. japonica) ACS, Reg. No.2421. American Camellia Yearbook, 1997, p3. A miniature, rose red, anemone form, C. japonica chance seedling, early to mid-season. Originated by Dr. Emil Carroll, Albuquerque, NM and propagated by Roscoe Dean, Lucedale, MS. The 9–10-year-old seedling first bloomed in 1990. Average size flower untreated is 2" wide and 1" deep with 25-30 petals. Average size flower treated 2 112" wide and 1" deep. Plant growth is upright, dense, and vigorous with dark green leaves measuring 3" long and 1 112" wide.
