This C. japonica chance seedling was originated by Vi and Hank Stone of Ba-ton Rouge, Louisiana, USA and registered by Robert A. Stroud of Slidell, Louisiana, USA and propagated by Jim Campbell of Covington, Louisiana, USA as well as the Bur-den Center of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. Bloom: The large sized 11.43 cm to 12.7cm x 7.7cm semi-double to loose peony form flower is vibrant red. It has golden anthers and golden filaments. It is long lasting and falls in one piece. Some petals have fimbriation. Plant: The plant habit is upright and spreading. The growth rate is vigorous. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. Leaf: The dark green leaves average 6.4cm x 3.2cm with low serration. Bloom season: Midseason to late.
