Gordy's Petite      C. japonica     Registered in 2020. ACS Registration #3185. This 20 year-old C. japonica chance seedling first bloomed in 2006. It was originated by Clarence and Lillian Gordy of Ocala, Florida and registered and propagated by Richard Hooton of Pensacola, Florida, USA. Bloom The miniature sized 6.0cm x 3.2cm [treated 8.3cm x 3.2cm] formal double form flower is medium rose pink. This cultivar is a profuse bloomer, falls in one piece, is long lasting, has heavy petal texture and has consistent form. Plant The plant habit is upright and dense. The growth rate is slow. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition. Leaf The dark green leaves average 10.2cm x 5.1cm with low serration. Bloom season Early to midseason.
