Yokoyama, 1975, Gendai Tsubaki Meikan, p.180, as ‘Hayazaki-bokuhan’ but later changed to Hayazaki-bokuhan-Ise to prevent confusion with that above. Seibundō Shinkōsha, 1979, Senchinshū, p.119, colour photo, p.239, description: Typical Bokuhan anemone form of 5-6 irregular, red, outer petals surrounding a compact cushion of red, variegated white, petaloids, intermixed with a few stamens. Leaves lanceolate, apex long acuminate, margins finely serrate. Resembles Shikibu, but flowers are larger than it though smaller than Bokuhan. Originated in Chūbu District, Japan.
