ACS, The Camellia Journal, Dec. 2013, p.27 with colour photo; Regn No.2883; Originated, propagated and registered by James & Elaine Smelley, Moss Point, Miss., USAACS, Yearbook, 2013, p.117 with colour photo; A 20 year old seedling of Curtain Call x Pleasant Memories, first flowered in 1992. The very large, 16.5cm diameter x 10cm deep flower is semidouble with 12 raised petals. Central boss of stamens with bright yellow anthers and white filaments. Heavy petal texture, and flowers fall whole. Upright, open plant with vigorous growth. Dark green leaves average 14.5cm x 4.5cm with medium serration. Flowers mid-season to late.
