Nippon Tsubaki - Sasanqua Meikan, 1998, p.55 with colour photo; English translation p.36. Medium size, pink fading to white in the centre, bowl shaped single, thick petals, cylindrical stamens. Flowers mid-season to late. Leaves elliptic, medium sized, recurved. A chance seedling of Seiōbo, originated and released by Tadao Yamaguchi in 1988. From Ishikawa Prefecture.
