Kastellorizo Rose. (C. japonica). Australian Regn. No. 474. Applicant and originator: F. K. Abbott, 109 West Riverton Drive, Rossmoyne, Western Australia 6148. A chance seedling that first flowered 1989. The white formal double flower of 93 petals 70 mm x 30 mm, flowers mid-season to late on a bushy upright plant of medium growth. Leaves deep-green, elliptic, fine serrations, smooth surface, acuminate apex, 80 mm x 50 mm. Petals slightly cupped. Flowers shed whole. An easily grown and attractive compact garden plant. Application received 10 November 1996 from Western Australia Branch, A.C.R.S. Propagation: Keith Abbott's Nursery, Beenyup Road, Jandakot, Western Australia 6163.
