» English Description

Kerisnel (C. hybrid). European Reg. No 193. Originated by Jacques Roué, Plouzévédé, France, propagated by the breeder for SBC (Société Bretonne du Camellia). Seedling of unkown parentage in 2011,  first flowering in 2021. Plant: bushy, compact, medium growth, flowering early to mid-season. Flower: medium width, 10 x 3 cm, strong purplish pink, loose informal double, petals of variable size, 4 – 5 x 1.5 - 4 cm, irregular tip. Heart of small bicoloured petaloids with yellowish filaments. Leaf: medium elliptic to oval with serrated margin, mid-green. Story: The name refers the locality of Saint-Pol-de-Léon (France), which gave the name to the cooperative (SICA) of the same name.
