International Camellia Journal, 2005, p.127 with colour photo; Reg. No. 49. Open pollinated seedling of C.japonica Merry Christmas. First flowered in 2003. Originated by Leonor Magariños, Pontevedra, Spain. An upright shrub of rapid growth rate. Flowers mid-season. The tight anemone form, 11 cm diameter x 11 cm deep flower is red (RHS.CC.53C) with white picotee edging. Spent flowers fall whole.
