American Camellia Yearbook, 1976, p.162, Reg. No.1383: A chance C.japonica seedling that first bloomed 1971. Originated by Mrs Laurence Schlaudecker, Amite, Louisiana, USA. Plant growth upright, dense and medium in rate, with dark green leaves, 7.5 cm x 3.8 cm. The semi-double to peony form bloom is medium pink with 90 petals and 8 large petaloids, yellow anthers and filaments. Average size, 12.5 cm across x 7 cm deep. Medium pink with vegetative colour on top petals, Vigorous, bushy growth. Blooms mid-season. Colour photo, back cover, ACS, 1977, The Camellia Journal, vol.32, No.1.
