ACS Registration #2989. The Camellia Journal,71(3):28 with name and color photo. American Camellia Yearbook, 2016, p. 126 with color photo and description. This 11-year-old C. japonica chance seedling first bloomed in 2008. It was originated, registered and propagated by Vernon Howell of Lucedale, Mississippi, USA. Bloom: The medium sized 8.9cm x 3.8cm formal double form flower is deep pink with white variegation. This profuse bloomer has consistent form with heavy petal texture, is long lasting and falls in one piece. The bloom is always very circular and sometimes has petaloids but never any stamens. Plant: The plant habit is upright and spreading. The growth rate is aver-age. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. Leaf: The dark green leaves have medium serration and average 7.6cm x 5.1cm. Bloom season: Midseason to late.
