Hagiya & Ishizawa, 1968, Kyōto Engei Kurabu, Tsubaki Tokushū, No.9, p.58, illustration, pp.9,10: White double to open peony form, 6-8 cm across, with 19-32 long, oval petals, slightly notched, both edges incurved inwards, in 3 rows with a small, slightly irregular stamen cluster, approximately 70, filaments yellow. Leaves, long, oval, dark green, acuminate and finely serrate. Fragrant. Collected at Nakakubiki-gun, Niigata Prefec­ture, Japan in 1960. Named and released by Kaoru Hagiya in 1968.
