ACS, The Camellia Journal, Aug. 2002, p.21, colour photo p.20, Reg. No.2577. A single white flower, with 8 petals, yellow stamens and creamy white filaments. Imported from Nanking, China, and propagated by Dr William L. Ackerman, Ashton, Md., USA. Very cold hardy and seems to transmit its cold-hardiness to its progeny. American Camellia Yearbook, 2002, p.130, colour photo p.c11. First bloomed in 1956. Flowers measure 7.5 cm across x 3.2 cm deep. Plant is upright, with slow, dense growth, and flowers very early.
