Charles van Geert Nursery Catalogue, 1846, p. 14. No description. Charles van Geert, 1846, Catalogue Général, p.75: Perfectly imbricated, dainty form, very pale pink but a little deeper at petal margins. Verschaffelt, 1950, Nouvelle Iconographie, Book III, pl.I as ‘Rosea Perfection’: This camellia has been grown commerially for a few years. It is of Italian origin, the term ‘perfecta’ is not well applied in this case, being somewhat irregularly imbricated. The flowers are of medium size, petals full, oblong, outspread, soft pink with a transverse stripe of a paler shade in the centre and delicately veined. Orthographic variants: ‘Rosea Perfection’, ‘Rosea Perfecta’.
