Shiliuqun

Shiliuqun (C. japonica 'Shiliu Cha' X C. 'Xizi Xianghe'). China Regn. #2021-344. China Flowers & Horticulture, 2021, No.11, p.56. It was bred and registered by Zhou Li, Song Chunyan and Yin Youhui of the Chongqing Nanshan Botanical Garden Management Office. In 2010, a hybrid of ‘Shiliu Cha' as the female parent and ‘Xizi Xianghe’ as the male parent. firstly bloomed in early January 2018. Plant compact, with dense branches and leaves, vigorous growth, and numerous flowers. Leaves medium green, elliptical, flat; apex acuminate, base cuneate, margin shallow serrate, 8~8.5cm long and 3~4cm wide. Flowers light red, full doble form,  diameter 8~9cm,  petals 68, oval, with white halo on the edge, some of the petal edges  rolled back, the inner petals heart-shaped and not fully open, texture  thick. Flowering period is January to April .

石榴裙Camellia ‘Shiliuqun’ 中国登录号：2021-344，《中国花卉园艺》2021年第11期56页。由重庆市南山植物园管理处的周利、宋春艳、尹有惠登录。2010年以川山茶‘石榴茶’为母本，与杂交山茶‘西子香荷’为父本杂交播种苗选育获得，2018年1月初花。植株较紧凑，枝叶茂密，生长旺盛，花量多。叶绿色、椭圆形，叶面平展；先端渐尖，基部楔形，叶齿浅稀，叶长8~8.5cm，宽3~4cm。花浅红色，完全重瓣型。花径8~9cm，花瓣卵圆形，68枚，边缘有白色晕边，部分花瓣边缘向后反卷，内层花瓣呈心形不完全开放，质地厚实，瓣脉明显，花期1 ~4月。
