Large, double, dark orange red, shaded like ‘Graya Nova’. Incomplete double, about 10 cm across with few exterior petals, large, up to 4 cm across, oblong, channelled, irregular, separated, notched at the apex; those of the interior, of a small number, irregular, unequal and intermin­gled with stamens. Orthographic variant: ‘Smith Grandiflora’. Orthographic error: ‘Smitii Grandiflora’.
