White Prize (C. japonica). published in American Camellia Yearbook 2021, p. 100. Registered in 2021. ACS Registration #3244. A 12year old chance Seedling of C. japonica 'Charlie Bettes' - first bloomedin 2012. It was registered and originated by John L. Spencer from Lakeland,Florida, USA. Flowers paper white with mustard yellow anthers and pale yellowfilaments. Flower Form: semidouble form with large petals openingwidely around a star pattern burst of stamens. Flower Size: Very large, 12.7-15.2cm in diameter, 8.9-10.2 cm in depth. Leaves medium green, 8.9 cm long, 6.4 cmwide. Plant slow growth rate, upright, open growth. Bloom Season: mid-season tolate.
