American Camellia Yearbook, 1961, p.230, Reg. No.522: A sport of Woodville Red, first propagated by Leslie G. Thomas, Azalea Road Nursery, Mobile, Alabama. Growth habit is rapid and upright, similar to parent, with light green leaves, 7.5-8 cm long x 3.8 cm wide. The peony form flowers are blush pink, fading to white with golden anthers, 10 cm across x 6 cm deep with 60 petals. Blooms mid-season. Abbreviation: ‘Woodville Blush’. Chinese synonym ‘Danfen Wude’.
