Xingfu Zhijia

Xingfu Zhijia (C. azalea × C. azalea F1 new hybrid 'Xiameng Wenqing'). Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrations of the New Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and Technology Publishing House, p.366. HAR-18-6., a cross seedling (DWQ-No.15) of C. azalea × C. azalea F1 new hybrid 'Xiameng Wenqing'. Flowers red to deep red, fading to light red or with white stripes at the central part of petals, semi-double to rose-double form, large to very large size, 12.5-13.5cm across and 6.0-6.5cm deep with 18-20 exterior large petals arranged orderly in 3-4 rows, petals long-obovate, 10-15 central petals erected and mixed with stamens. Leaves dark green, heavy leathery, broad elliptic, cuneate at the base, margins nearly smooth. Plant upright and growth vigorous. Starts to bloom from early-summer, fully blooms from autumn to winter and sporadically in spring. The cultivar name means “Happy Family”.
