Mizuno, 1829, Sōmoku Kinyōshū in sec­tion on margined leaves. The young leaves have a bluish margin which becomes white with age. The flower is a white, single with pink stripes. See: Kyōto Engei Kurabu, 1966, Tsubaki Tokushū, No.7, p.166. Originated in Japan by Yashichi. (Believed extinct.)
