[Variety origin] Hunan Tea Research Institute of Agricultural Science Academy took 'Baihaozao' as the mother and 'Gaoyaqi' as the father, and used hybrid breeding method to breed the variety. [Characteristics] Shrub type, medium leaf type, early growing species. The tree is semi-open, with strong growth potential, medium branching site and medium branching density. The leaf blade is slightly upward slanting, long elliptic, 9.8 centimeters long, 3.7 centimeters wide, light green in color, and the tip of the leaf is acuminate. The exploitation period in Changsha is generally in the middle and early March, and the full bloom period of one bud and two leaves is generally in the middle of March; the germination density is dense, and the velvet hair is medium; the length of one bud and three leaves is 6.7 centimeters, and the weight of one bud and three leaves in one hundred buds is 79.0 grams. Flowering period is from mid-October to mid-November every year; the petals are white, the ovary has velvet hairs, the style cleavage is in the middle, and the pistil is higher than the stamen. The biochemical sample of one bud and two leaves in spring contains 28.2% of tea polyphenols, 4.0% of amino acids, 3.7% of caffeine, and 38.4% of water leachate. Suitable for green tea and black tea.
