Yokoyama & Kirino, 1989, Nihon no Chinka, p.239, colour photo and description: Medium size, deep red with clear white blotches, wide campanulate single with 6 notched, reflexed petals and a central stamen column with whitish filaments, joined for the lower half, and yellow anthers. Leaves deep green, elliptic, recurved, apices acute. Blooms mid-season to late. Originated in the Ehime Prefecture, Japan. Resembles Amagashita.
