Burdin Maggiore & Co., 1856-1857. No description; van Houtte, 1858, Catalogue, 72:5: Flower large double, bright rose-pink and dusted with streaks of white and red. Mercatelli catalogue, 1881: Flower large, 8 cm in diameter, spirally imbricated form, vivid rose (RHS CC 51A) with 68-75 petals, with darker veining, light, ashy grey white centre, sometimes with faint, white lines. Leaves eliptic to ovate, 8.3 cm long and 4.4 cm wide, shallow serrated, apex acuminate. Originated in Milan, Italy.
