Beijibing

Beijibing (C. japonica) Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrations of the New Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and Technology Publishing House, p.528. HD-13-3.A chance seedling YGW-No.30 selected from C. japonica cultivar 'Moonlight Bay'. Flowers white, changing to light yellow at the base of the petals, semi-double to peony form, medium size, 8.5-9.5cm across and 5.0cm deep with 16-18 exterior large petals arranged in 2-3 rows, petals nearly round, 10-15 small petals semi-erected, twisted and crinkled at the center and mixed with stamens. Leaves green, shiny, leathery, elliptic, margins obtusely serrate. Plant compact and growth normal. Blooms from early-spring to late-spring. The cultivar name means “Arctic ice”.

北极冰 Camellia japonica ‘Beijibing’ 。刘信凯、钟乃盛、柯欢、武艳芳主编，2023，《第二部四季茶花杂交新品种彩色图集》，浙江科学技术出版社，第528页。 HD-13-3.其编号接续上一个品种。本品种选自红山茶品种‘月光湾’的机遇苗YGW-No.30。花朵白色，花瓣基部略显淡黄色，半重瓣型至牡丹型，中型花，花径8.5-9.5cm，花朵厚5.0cm，外部大花瓣16-18枚，呈2-3轮排列，花瓣近圆形，中部小花瓣10-15枚，半直立，扭曲，略皱裙,与雄蕊混生，雄蕊簇生。叶片绿色，光亮，革质，椭圆形，边缘叶齿钝。植株紧凑，生长中等。春初至春末开花。
