American Camellia Yearbook, 1954, p.303, Reg. No.165: A 16 year old seedling of Lady Saumerez and an unknown pollen parent, originated by A.C. Weaver, Brewton, Alabama, USA. First flowered 1943. Plant growth average and compact. Flower buds, long and green. The semi-double flowers are similar to ‘Donckelaeri’ (Masayoshi); colour rose-pink, 9-11 cm across with 30-40 petals. Flowers mid-season.
