Big Jack (C. japonica) ACS, Reg. No.2515.American Camellia Yearbook, 1999, p6, with color photo p.c.2. Thispink to deep pink peony to formal double C. japonica (Eyes of March x?) chanceseedling, blooms mid-season to late. Originated by Ray Bond of Dallas, TX andpropagated by Bond Nursery Corporation of Dallas, TX. The 8-year-old seedlingfirst bloomed in 1999. Flower is 2" wide and .75" deep with 96 petalswith fimbriation. Petals may be veined. Plant growth is upright, spreading, openand average with 3.25" long and 1.25" wide dark green leaves.
