This 10-year-old C. hybrid seedling of ‘Lady Clare’ first bloomed in 2011. It was originated, registered and propagated by Thomas Sellers of Bolivia, North Carolina, USA. Bloom: The small sized 7.6cm x 3.8cm semi-double to single form flower is deep red. It has yellow anthers and yellow filaments. This bloom has consistent form and falls in one piece. The stamens are bright yellow, prominent and contrast well against the dark red petals which are often notched on the outer edges. Plant: The plant habit is upright and dense. The growth rate is slow. The plant is suitable for landscaping use. Leaf: The medium green leaves have medium serration and average 7.6cm x 5.1cm. Bloom season: Early
