Bruce Jones (C.japonica). published in American Camellia Yearbook 2021, p. 114. Registered in 2021. ACS Registration #3271. It was originated andregistered by Pat B. Johnson from Cairo, Georgia, USA. A 17 year old chance seedlingof C. japonica 'Royal Velvet'. It was first bloomed in 2007. Flower semidouble, large 10.8 cm in diameter and 5.4 cm in depth, ripe strawberry redwith yellow anthers and pink filaments. Leaf dark green, 8.9 cm long,and 3.8 cm wide. Plant upright, open growth, average growth rate. Bloommid-season to late.
