Charlotte Grace   (C. japonica). Published in American Camellia Yearbook 2020, p.78 with 1 color photo. Registered in 2020. ACS Registration #3173. This 18 year-old C. japonica chance seedling first bloomed in 2008. It was originated, registered and propagated by Pat B. Johnson of Cairo, Georgia, USA. Bloom The small sized 7.6cm x 4.4cm semidouble to rose form double flower is dark pink at the petal margins fading to light pink with some striping with yellow anthers and white filaments. This cultivar is a profuse bloomer, falls in one piece, is long lasting, has heavy petal texture and has consistent form. Plant The plant habit is upright and open. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition. Leaf The medium green leaves average 7.6cm x 4.4cm with low serration. Bloom season Midseason to late.
