[Variety Source] Selected and bred by Sichuan Agricultural University et al. from a single plant of 'Chongqing Pipa Cha'. [Characteristic features] Small tree type, early-born species, strong growth potential, tree posture semi-open. The leaf blade is oval in shape, bearing upward. The new shoots are yellowish-green in spring and slightly purple buds in summer and fall, with a bud and three leaves of 11.3 cm in length and a weight of 53.5 grams in one hundred buds. The ovary is velvety, and the calyx is not velvety. The biochemical sample of one bud and two leaves of spring tea contains 19.4% of tea polyphenols, 4.0% of amino acids, 3.9% of caffeine, and 45.5% of water leachate. Suitable for green tea and black tea. The system of baking green tea, the appearance of fat, more firm green, tender fragrance high long, soup color green bright, taste fresh, leaf bottom fat; system of black tea, the appearance of fat show golden hair, sweet aroma, soup color red thick bright, taste sweet, leaf bottom red uniform.
