japonica chance seedling, mid-season. Originated by LaRose Smith, Beaufort,
sc. The 7–8-year-old seedling first bloomed in 1994. Average size flower is
5" wide and 2 1/4" deep with nine petals and six petaloid. Plant
growth is upright, open, and average with dark green leaves measuring 5"
long and 2 114" wide.
