Guoyou 12

Guoyou No.12  (C. oleifera), a new variety authorized by the State Forestry and Grassland Administration of China in 2018, with the variety right number: 20180106. It was bred by Wang Xiangnan, Chen Yongzhong, and Wang Rui from Hunan Academy of Forestry. Leaves elliptical, with fine serrations or blunt teeth on the edges, and apex acuminate, 5.0-7.0 cm long, and 2.5-4.0cm wide. Flowers white, terminal or axillary, solitary, twin or multiple, with 7-10 petals, concave at the apex, and slightly reddish cusps or outside. Flowering period from late October to January of the following year. Capsules oblate, red or yellow-red, with a diameter of 4.4cm and a height of 4.2cm. The average weight of a single fruit is 45g, and the weight can reach 60g. Each fruit has 2-7 seeds. The fresh seed rate of fresh fruits was 42.3%, and the oil content of dry seeds was 33.1%. The fruit ripening period is in late October.

国油12是2018年国家林草局授权的新品种，【品种权号】20180106，【培育人】王湘南、陈永忠、王瑞、彭邵锋、陈隆升、马力、许彦明、唐炜，【品种权人】湖南省林业科学院。【品种特性】‘国油12’树冠圆头形，叶革质，椭圆形，边缘有细锯齿或钝齿，叶尖渐尖，叶长5.0-7.0cm，叶宽2.5-4.0cm；花白色，顶生、腋生，单生、双生或多生，花瓣7-10枚，长圆形，先端内凹，瓣尖或外侧略带红，花期10月下旬至翌年1月；蒴果扁圆形，红或黄红色，果径4.4cm，果高4.2cm，单果均重45g，重的可达60g，每果种子2-7粒，鲜果出鲜籽率42.3%，干籽含油率33.1%，果熟期10月下旬。其果大型、红色鲜艳，结果量大，经济性状优良，特异特征明显，遗传性状稳定。’国油12’适宜种植于湖南省各油茶产区，南方油茶各中心产区，pH为4.0-6.0、土层深厚、土壤厚度为60-100cm或以上的微酸性红黄壤的山地丘陵等旱地。
