Chinka Zufu, (before 1700), Watanabe, 1969, pl.117 as ‘Hirunonishiki’: Medium to large size, anemone form with large, central cushion of red petaloids mixed with some white petaloids and stamens. Originated in Japan. Different read­ings: ‘Hiru-nishiki’,’Hirunonishiki’. Synonym: ‘Chūkin’. (Believed extinct.)
