American Camellia Yearbook, 1959, p.274, Reg. No.373: A 5 year old chance seedling, originated by Holly Buff Gardens, Louise, Mississippi, USA which first flow­ered 1958. Plant growth is spreading, open and rapid with leaves 8 cm x 5 cm. The peony form flowers, deep pink with yellow anthers, are 10-12 cm wide x 5-7 cm deep with 18 petals and 4-5 petaloids mixed with the stamens. Flowers early.
