Gerbing's Azalea Gardens Catalogue, 1938-1939 as 'Imura White': Semi-double, snow-white waterlily type, long, narrow petals of porcelain texture with yellow stamens, midseason blooming. Fendig, 1949, American Camellia Catalogue: Very large, white semi-double. When half open the flower is said to resemble the half-furled wings of a swan. Texture of petals is like porcelain. Size 12-15 cm across with 10-15 petals. Showy stamens. Anthers very large, arrow shaped. Leaves glossy, dark green, long and narrow, smooth, apex recurved, fine serrations, 7.5 cm x 2.5 cm. Plant habit, vigorous, upright, open growth with somewhat pendulous branches. Developed from seed imported from Japan in 1925 by K. Sawada, Mobile, Alabama, USA. First bloomed 1929. 朱國棟、蔡燦玉，2011. 《台灣茶花族譜》，p.133. Imura伊蜜儿(C. japonica)红山茶。1938，美国亚拉巴马州Mobile，K. Sawada。1926年自曰本引入种子实生，初花1929年。半重瓣、纯白色、筒蕊、中~大轮(9 x 4cm)、花瓣约12~15 枚、树性直立、长势强。同种异名：Dr Allen Ames、Imura White、S. Imura。花名：井村（曰本姓氏）。Imura (伊蜜儿)一新竹市茶花产销班目录，2002-2006，p.58,111. Imura (爱母拉)一茶花林，2006，茶花品种1554, p. 13/28, No.1497.
