American Camellia Yearbook, 1959, p.257, Reg. No.406: A seedling of Dr Tinsley, originated by Mrs Juanita Smith, Franklinton, Louisiana, USA. The glossy, dark green leaves are 10 cm long x 5 cm wide. The semi-double flowers, 10-12 cm across x 5 cm deep, are white shading to blush rose, with narrow edging. The large petals, 20-25, are centre notched. The stamens are white tipped with yellow. Blooms early to mid-season.
