Seibundō Shinkōsha, 1979, Senchinshū, p.57, colour photo, p.215, description: Medium size, red, single of cupped form, 5-6 petals, with central, stamen column, golden anthers, pinkish filaments. Leaves elliptic, green, apex acute, base cuneate, mar­gins shallowly serrulate. Selected from a wild japonica community in the precincts of Konpira Shrine in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. Named and released by Saneichi Koyama in 1972.
