Puddle & Hanger, 1961, RHS., The Rhododendron and Camellia Yearbook, No.15, p.117: A sport of Lady McCulloch, Carmine 21/1, paler in the centre of the petals but blotches of deeper colour running from base to apex. Flower shape and foliage characteristics identical to that of the parent. Originated in England.
