American Camellia Yearbook, 1976, p.162, Reg. No.1404: A 10 year old chance C.japonica seedling that first bloomed 1971. Originated by M.E. Rowell, Fresno, California, USA. Plant growth is spreading to weeping and slow with dark green leaves, 7 cm x 3.3 cm. The single, Kimberley type, bloom is strong to light, purplish pink (7.5RP 8/5 Nickerson) with pink and white anthers. Average size, 6 cm across. Blooms mid-season to late.
