Miss Ernestine (C. japonica).  published in American Camellia Yearbook 2021, p. 105. Registered in 2021. ACS Registration #3254. A 35year old chance seedling of unknown parents. first bloomed in 1990. It wasregistered and originated by Ben Shaifer Jones from Woodville, Mississippi,USA. Flowers formal double form with spiraling characteristics and 100 petals,flower size small to medium. Flower color bright rich pink. Plant growth rateaverage, upright, medium density growth. Bloom mid-season to late. OtherInformation: There is a known sport which is similar except that the stripesare blush pink, just darker than the base color.
