OverviewQiancha1 is a tea clone of shrub, medium leaf and early sprouting, which was bred from the ‘Meitantaicha’ using the single plant breeding method by the Tea Research Institute of Guizhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences. From 2003 to 2013, the compare appraisement test and regional adaptability test of ‘Qiancha1’ were carried out in Guiyang, Meitan, Xingren and other places, and the results showed that compared with the control "Fudingdabaicha", 'Qiancha no. 1' had a higher survival rate, stronger growth potential, higher yield and better tea quality. The average survival rate of multi-site transplanting was over 99%, 3 percentage points higher than the control. After two years of planting, the height and width of the canopy were 51.3cm and 78.6cm, respectively, 16.8cm and 30.1cm higher than those of the control. The yield of fresh leaves of spring tea was 21.6% higher than that of the control. Suitable for green tea, black tea and white tea. In 2016, it was authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People’s Republic of China to protect new plant varieties (variety right No. : CNA20080571.1). 【特征特性】树姿开张,分枝密度大,叶片稍上斜状着生。叶长10.3 cm,叶宽4.3 cm,叶形椭圆形,叶色绿,叶面微隆起,叶尖渐尖,叶基楔形,叶缘微波,叶身柔软。花冠直径3.9 cm,萼片5片、花瓣6枚。
