Dekker, 1959, American Camellia Yearbook, p.73: Across between Kumasaka x Sweet Delight. Originated by Earl Hudson, Sun Valley, California, USA. A bright red, large, full peony form with occasionally one or two small, white petals in the centre. Upright, com­pact habit. Blooms mid-season.
