Sweet Mary  (C.japonica)   ACSRegistration #3104. Registered in 2019. This 10-year-old C. japonica chance seedling first bloomed in 2014. It wasoriginated and registered by Mickey Moore of Americus, Georgia and propagatedby County Line Nursery Inc. of Byron, Georgia. BLOOM: The medium sized 8.9 cm x 6.4 cm(treated 10.2 cm x 7.0 cm) formal double form flower is shell pink. Thisprofuse bloomer is long lasting with consistent form and falls in one piece.The formal double blooms tend to have a swirled pattern about 40% of the timewith blush pink center petals darkening to shell pink on the outer petals. Thepetal edges are cupped upward. Most blooms have dashes or flecks of darker pinkbut no consistent pattern. PLANT: The planthabit is upright and dense. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitablefor landscaping and exhibition uses. LEAF:The dark green leaves average 11.4 cm x 5.7 cm with low serration. BLOOM SEASON: Early to midseason.
