ACS, The Camellia Journal, Aug. 1997, p.16, Reg. No.2426. A medium size, pale blush pink, peony form chance seedling. Flowers early to mid-season. Originated by Alma Brown, Wilmington, N.C., USA. American Camellia Yearbook, 1997, p.8, colour photo before p.1. The 23 year old seedling first flowered in 1980. Average flower size is 10 cm across x 7.5 cm deep, with 33 petals, 25 petaloids, yellow anthers and yellow filaments. Plant growth is upright, dense and slow, with light green leaves 11.5 cm long x 5 cm wide.
