Xiameng Kejuan

Xiameng Kejuan (C. azalea hybrid). China Regn. #2012-107. China Flowers & Horticulture, 2012, No.24, p.47. Gao Jiyin et al. 2016. Illustrations of the New Camellias Hybrids that Bloom Year-round. p.258. Originated by Palm Landscape Architexture Co. Ltd., China. A seedling of Dr Clifford Parks x C. azalea, first flowered 2010. A bright red, single flower, 6.5-7 cm diameter, with 6 elliptic petals, reflexed at top to give a trumpet shape. Many stamens in tubular form, filaments pink, anthers yellow. Leaves dark green, long-elliptic, thick, slightly hairy at tips, shallowly serrated edges. Plant upright, dense, vigorous. Flowers summer to midwinter.

夏梦可娟 Camellia ‘Xiameng Kejuan’ 中国登录号：2012-107，《中国花卉园艺》2012年第24期47页。由马娟命名，棕榈园林股份有限公司的许可娟、钟乃盛、刘信凯培育并登录。该杂交种由杜鹃红山茶与一个云南山茶品种杂交而得。2006年播种，2010年首次开花。花蕾尖纺锤状，萼片绿色，开花极稠密，似杜鹃花。花朵艳红色，单瓣型。小到中型花，花径 6.5 ～7cm。花瓣 6 枚，椭圆形，感觉厚实、坚挺，全开放时，花瓣上部外翻，呈小喇叭状。雄蕊多数，花丝粉红色，基部连生，呈筒状，花药黄色。叶片浓绿色，背面灰绿色，长椭圆形，厚实，先端略下弯，边缘齿钝。植株立性，枝叶稠密，生长旺盛。花期 6 月中旬至 12 月底。
