Gayle’s Mona (C. hybrid). ACS Registration #3130. Registered in 2019. American Camellia Yearbook, 2019, p124. This 4-year-old C. hybrid sport of 'Mona Jury' first bloomed in 2014. It was originated by Steve and Gayle Lawrence of Tallahassee, Florida, registered by Randolph Maphis of Tallahassee, Florida, and propagated by Randolph Maphis and Steve Lawrence of Tallahassee, Florida. Bloom: The large sized 10.8 cm x 5.1 cm (treated 10.8 cm x 5.7 cm) semi-double to loose peony form flower is white with pink water marks and pink veining. It has yellow anthers and white filaments. This profuse bloomer has consistent form and falls in one piece. Plant: The plant habit is upright and spreading. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. Leaf: The light green leaves average 8.9 cm x 4.4 cm with medium serration. Bloom season: Late.
