Jerry's Joy (C. japonica). published in American Camellia Yearbook 2021, p. 100.  Registered in 2021. ACS Registration #3243. A 23 year old chance seedling of C. japonica. - first bloomed in 2008. It was registered and originated by John L. Spencer from Lakeland, Florida, USA. Flowers: formal double, raspberry red incurved center petals, surrounded by layers of smokey pink and opening to outer layers of deeper pink edged in smokey lavender. Size: small, 6.4-7.6 cm in diameter, 5.7 cm in depth. Leaf medium green 7.6-8.9 cm long and 5.1 cm wide. Plant growth slow, compact, dense growth. Bloom Season: late.
