Seibundō Shinkōsha, 1979, Senchinshū, p.250: Red vertical streaks on pale pink ground with white margins. Single, widely opening flower of 6 petals. Stamens spreading. Small size. Mid-season flowering. Leaves, small to medium, ovate, curved, keeled at midrib, prominent venation. Hirsute petiole. Plant habit, bushy and variable. Of snow camellia lineage, originated in Takada City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. Named and released by Yaichi Kawamura.
